1G1R 1G1R stands for “One Game One ROM”. It is used for consoles rom and it means that you get only one file imported per game. Consoles dat often list a lot of regional versions of one game. Let's take an example. In the snes no-intro.org datafile, you get:

Arcade plugin Arcade plugin is a basic dll which calculate the crc of the whole file. It is used for headerless file, mostly arcade roms (mame, kawaks, raine...). It can also handle CHD and will return the SHA1 in this case (CHD version 3 and 4 are supported, version 1 and 2 doen't have a sha1).

Running a game stored in a folder may not work with mame. MAME will only load by CRC from zip/7z archives because the archive directory stores CRCs for archive members. In a folder, MAME only loads files by name. Example: The files in ghouls have different names to what daimakair (clone of ghouls) looks for, so MAME won't load them from a folder.

RomCenter plugin Plugins are used by romcenter to calulate the file crc and size. Its main work is to recognize the rom format, skip header datas and process roms datas so that two roms of a same game in different format return only one size and crc.

How to translate romcenter to your language ? First, check in romcenter if your transation is not yet available. Translation Romcenter strings are stored in a resource file located in romcenter\resx folder. You can edit existing files or create a new one by copying an romcenter.resx and adding your language code.
