Romcenter data file help

Sorry for new topic guys. When launching romcenter i notice that it scans the data files that come with the program initially and only 38 games are displayed in the games database. I understand how .dat file work and what they are for as well as how to load them. The problem I am having: after downloading the .dat files (from romcenter itself or from webpage), they do indeed show up in the local datafile section in the datafile manager. However, the data file never seems to get loaded/scanned/etc. I have tried many ways of putting the data file into romcenter. After every way i have tried they all show up under local datafiles. After this i have tried to refresh many different times as well as shutting down/restarting the program. I am sure that the data file are correct because they work in a comparable program. Romcenter looks like a nice program and i would like to take advantage of it. Please help!

Once you downloaded the datafile, it appears in the combo box on the toolbar in the main windows.
Open the combo box and select the datafile to load it.
