I can read and write all files and folders on my share, even though the folder has the read-only flag set.
I just moved some of my files to a folder on the local drive (which also has the read-only flag set) and RC has no trouble renaming files, etc.

I just upgraded to RC 3.31 and I wasn't having this trouble before, but my roms are stored on a network server (I don't know if that matters) but the folder has the read only attribute flag set.
